From Thursday, 21 March to Saturday, 23 March 2013, we will be hosting the conference "Vagueness in Law - Philosophical and Legal Approaches" at the NYU in New York City.

11 to 13 October 2012: Conference "Deciding under Non-epistemic Uncertainty"

From Thursday, 11 October to Saturday, 13 October 2012, we will be hosting the conference "Deciding under Non-Epistemic Uncertainty" at Freiburg University, Germany.

5 July 2012: One-day-workshop with Jason Stanley "Vagueness in Context"

We are happy to announce that the research group "Dealing with blurred boundaries" will host a one-day workshop with Jason Stanley on 5 July 2012.
 
The event is entitled "Vagueness in Context" and will consist of talks by
 
- Jason Stanley (Rutgers)
- Nikola Kompa (Osnabrück) and
- Alexander Dinges (Berlin).
 
It will take place in Room 3103 ("Hegel room") in the East Wing of the Humboldt University main building.
 

23 to 25 March 2012: Conference "Gradualist Approaches to Health and Disease"

From Friday, 23 March to Sunday, 25 March 2012, we will be hosting the conference "Gradualist Approaches to Health and Disease" at Humboldt-Universität, Berlin, Germany.

The conference aims at exploring different aspects of the fuzziness of our concepts of health and disease as well as the legal implications. It brings together experts from law, philosophy and medicine. Our Speakers include:
